2021 Summer Camps

Summer Camps are coming up! Please note that registration will close a few weeks before each camp, and no new registrations will be accepted after those deadlines this year. This means camps will not be accepting walk-in campers this year, which will help ensure sufficient food, staffing, and supplies. For more info about summer camps and about Trinity Pines, visit the Trinity Pines website.

Trinity Pines Operations — Summer 2020
The Camps Board met by a Zoom call on Tuesday evening, April 28 to discuss a number of issues related to Trinity Pines operations. The Camp Board Executive Committee have met weekly to address issues surrounding COVID-19 and the impact on Trinity Pines. Here is a summary of decisions made last night:

Previous Post:

Trinity Pines Camp Board Executive Committee has met weekly since the start of the COVID-19 issue. Trinity Pines is dedicated to four basic principles:

  1. Protection of Trinity Pines Employees with employment and a safe working environment
  2. Protection of the assets at Trinity Pines
  3. Protection of any guest groups that visit Trinity Pines
  4. Assistance in the Cascade Community during this pandemic

With this in mind, the board has been considering the options for the Trinity Pines summer camp program, which would begin June 8. The committee has weighed various options: proceeding, postponing, modifying or cancelling summer camping at Trinity Pines. The state’s current Covid-19 shelter-in-place order is in place until April 30. In addition the Valley County Commissioners have made a declaration that “no visitors to the county until April 30. Since the start of summer camp season is 45 days out and the shelter-in-place order has not been lifted, no formal decision has been made related to summer camps at Trinity Pines. The Executive Committee has extended the Early Bird registration for summer camps to April 30 and has given assurance that deposits will be 100% refunded if any camp is cancelled or parents do not feel comfortable sending a camper to camp.   The Executive Committee is not making any hasty decisions and is weighing many factors related to a plan to proceed. They do not take this responsibility lightly. The Executive Committee believes that each decision must be made with a prudent and safety-first mindset under the current unusual circumstances.
