Watch Jaeson’s District NMI Convention 2020 video report
Jaeson Rogers was elected Intermountain District’s NMI President in 2019. He has a desire to help our district churches engage in cross-cultural ministry more intentionally, relationally, and strategically. The challenges of 2020 have greatly impacted how we strategically engage by forcing us to use remote options for connecting, but has not deterred our intentionality or our relationships.
When Jesus said “go and make make disciples of all nations” (Matt 28:19 NIV), he was telling believers to mobilize; to be an active part of sharing the Good News with all ethne, or peoples. Statistically, very few of us will actually go elsewhere in the world to preach the Gospel message, but we should all be active in living out the Gospel message as we send, encourage, pray, and welcome others in a way that builds genuine relationship with those who have come from around the world to live within our immediate reach.
Jaeson and his wife, Cyndi, are members of Nampa’s College Church. They have 4 children and 12 grandchildren (11 little girls and 1 boy).

Nazarene Compassionate Ministries
Did you know that NMI and the local church are the hands and feet for Nazarene Compassionate Ministries (NCM)? We should be ready to support the opportunities NCM brings to us, whether it be fighting Human Trafficking, promoting Child Sponsorships, engaging in service to Refugee & Immigrant communities, and more.
Our District Representative for NCM is Pastor Dave Tish, who also is now a member of the District NMI Council. I have committed to Dave that NMI will work hand-in-hand with NCM to minister to local needs.

S.T.O.P. (Sex Trafficking Opposition Partnership) Endowment
The founders of S.T.O.P. partnered with the Nazarene Planned Giving Foundation to set up the endowment with Legacy.Nazarenefoundation.Org, a licensed 501c3 non-profit. Donations go directly into the Foundation’s “S.T.O.P. Endowment”, which is invested by Nazarene Foundation board of directors in compliance with the Uniform Prudent Management of Institutional Funds Act (UPMIFA). 90% of the interest income goes directly to Nazarene Compassionate Ministries Anti-trafficking, and 10% will be invested back into the S.T.O.P. Endowment to help it grow.
Please watch this S.T.O.P. Endowment video (3:47) and then donate to the S.T.O.P. Endowment to support Anti-trafficking efforts.

NW Field Work & Witness Conference
After many successful years of being sponsored by the Oregon-Pacific District and held in Portland, OR, the conference is moving to Nampa, Idaho. It is such a great opportunity to hear from global missionaries about what God is doing around the world, to visit one-on-one about mission opportunities, and to network with other local mission leaders regarding their challenges and successes. Stay tuned for more information about the 2021 NW Field W&W Conference. You’ll want to not miss out!

Intermountain District NMI Fall Tour
Due to the many changes in 2019 there was no Fall Tour, but our focus is steadfast as the NMI Council continues to work on putting together a “Quick Reference Guide” of NMI Fundamentals that can serve to help both new and seasoned NMI Presidents understand their roles and opportunities. We are also seeking ways to better provide effective cross-cultural engagement training and opportunities. You are welcome to send ideas and feedback to the District NMI Council.
