"Wild at Heart"
by John Eldredge
Although this book is written for men, it is not exclusively. It was a
delightful read of 217 pages.
The author builds a case to explain the wild nature of a man’s heart. Man is created in the image of God who also has a wild heart. He describes three basic desires that men have and that women have, which both have received from God. When these desires are not met, there is relational catastrophe. Only God can validate men’s masculinity. These three desires can only find their fulfillment in God, initially. This is accomplished through an intimate and transparent relationship with God. When a man has a healthy relationship with God, then he is free and secure to fulfill those created desires toward others.
This book also has an available workbook.
