"In Light of Eternity"

This was an easy and enjoyable read on heaven. The book is 164 pages with 25 chapters uncovering our knowledge of heaven. The author was compelled to write this book in light of a pastor who admitted that he got depressed when he thought about heaven. His perspective was that heaven would be endless tedium. If you can get past the authors constant referral to his previous written books, (that seem to be self-promoting), you will likely discover some new truths about heaven. I found several new insights as I read this volume.
Randy uses a lot of Scriptural references and a sanctified imagination to draw out some solid theological conclusions. Upon finishing the book, I discovered that we really do know a lot about our eternal home and reward. I believe this book will not only be an inspiration, a book to comfort those who mourn, but also a great sermon starter. I plan to develop a mini-series for Wednesday night Bible study.
